Veronica spends her days working in education equity as director of an academic support program for women in science and engineering. She also serves on the boards of the Chicago Abortion Fund and Women In Media & News. Veronica has been an active NOW member since 2000 by serving at the local level and the national level (current co-chair of the Mothers & Caregivers Economic Rights committee). In October 2007, Veronica blogged the opening of a Planned Parenthood clinic that was besieged by anti-choice activists at http://ppaurora.blogspot.com. She writes for many blogs, but her personal site is Viva la Feminista where she explores the intersection of motherhood, feminism, and being a Latina. Sometimes she feels sorry that her husband is the only male in their home as even their dachshund is a girl.
