I am an attorney and birth activist.  I serve as legal counsel for The 'Big Push for Midwives Campaign and the American Association of Birth Centers.  I work with Lynn Paltrow of National Advocates for Pregnant Women on cases involving the legal and human rights of pregnant women.

I am married, have one daughter, and four grandchildren. My law office is in Washington, D.C., but I live most of the time in New Mexico.
