Rachel Jones, senior research associate, has worked at the Guttmacher Institute since July 1999. She received her Ph.D. in sociology from Tulane University, where she studied gender, family and inequality. Her work at the Guttmacher Institute has focused on adolescent sexual health, abortion, and male sexual and reproductive health. Most recently, she completed a national survey of all known abortion providers in the United States, the findings of which are summarized in Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health. She has also published articles in the Journal of the American Medical Association, Current Opinions in Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Journal of Adolescent Health, Social Forces and Sociological Inquiry.
