Natalie Camastra

Natalie D. Camastra is thrilled to join the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health as the Reproductive Justice Public Policy Fellow. Natalie became involved in social justice activism as an undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied International Political Economy. As President of the Berkeley Chapter of the National Organization for Women, she spearheaded efforts to decrease sexual assault and rape on campus by organizing innovative educational events and changing campus policies. Recently, she worked closely with the Latino immigrant day labor community in Los Angeles, where she mediated wage and labor disputes and transferring conflict resolution skills to participants. Natalie’s previous policy experience was with the Washington Office on Latin America, where she conducted research on economic and human development issues and monitored relevant legislative developments. Natalie has a strong interest in policy related to family planning and sex education as well as implementing social media tools to increase Latina political participation.
