Nadine Goodman

Nadine Goodman graduated from the Columbia University School of Public Health and School of Social Work where she was inducted into the Hall of Fame. With Alejandro Gonzalez she is the cofounder of the Mexican nonprofit organization CASA that runs a government accredited teaching hospital as well as the only government accredited midwifery school. CASA has been providing free family planning and sex education to the Guanajuato public since 1981. It offers a range of other social service and educational programs for women and their children.

The current law in Guanajuato, and the barrage of restrictions being enacted against women throughout Mexico and in the United States and elsewhere poses a test first and foremost for the medical community:  Do health care providers serve their patients?
