About MeMartha Kempner is the Vice President for Information and Communications at SIECUS. One of Ms. Kempner’s primary responsibilities is to raise the visibility of SIECUS and the importance of sexuality-related issues in the media. She oversees the development of all SIECUS publications and resources including articles, fact sheets, and websites; all of SIECUS’ public relations and media activities conducted at the local, state, national, and international levels; and the monitoring, analyzing, and reporting of trends in sexuality education, including reviews of fear-based abstinence-only-until-marriage curricula. In addition to her role at SIECUS, Ms. Kempner often serves as an adjunct instructor of human sexuality and related topics at Marymount Manhattan College. Ms. Kempner graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a bachelors degree in political science and received her masters degree in human sexuality from New York University.
