Marjorie Childress writes for New Mexico Independent and lives and works in Albuquerque. She is one of the voices behind m-pyre, a local blog founded in 2004. She has a graduate degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico, and works for the SouthWest Organizing Project. She primarily writes about land development & growth and issues of ethics & accountability in government.
