Karen Newman

Currently Co-ordinator of the UK-based Population and Sustainability Network, which she joined in May 2008, Karen Newman is an international advocacy, policy and development consultant with more than 30 years’ experience managing sexual and reproductive health and human rights projects and programs across the globe. Immediate past co-Chair of the World Health Organization (WHO) Gender and Rights Advisory Panel, she is also a former Chair of Education for Choice – a small charity in the UK that supports young people’s right to informed choice - and has published widely on the connection between sexual and reproductive health and rights and human rights.
