Julielyn Gibbons
Julielyn Gibbons is a lifelong Michigan resident whose
nationally-recognized career as an online political campaign strategist
and blogger was launched after being diagnosed with a particularly
severe case of Crohn's Disease at the age of 14.
A former vice-president of the United Ostomy Associations of
America, a national non-profit advocacy group, Julielyn has also worked
with the Sierra Club, UAW, AFL-CIO, Planned Parenthood Affiliates of
Michigan, Michigan Education Association and she is currently a board
member with the Triangle Foundation, the state's largest LGBT support
organization. She is currently the Online Campaign Coordinator for
Progress Michigan, a non-profit advocacy group in Lansing, MI.

Not a day doesn't pass when I don't realize how lucky I am to be alive, but I also understand that there are millions like me who suffer from illnesses and injuries that could be one day cured through stem cell research.
