Jade Souza
is a labor and postpartum doula. She previously worked with the Birth Attendants Prison Doula Project. She is currently the board president of POWER (Parents Organizing for Welfare and Economic Rights), in Washington state, where she is a lifelong resident. POWER
works toward a world where children and caregiving are truly valued and
the devastation of poverty has been eradicated. Jade lives with her
partner Jared and three children Stella, Ezra, and Solace. Mothering is her hardest job and greatest happiness.
