Eesha Pandit
Eesha is a contributing writer at Feministing and the Crunk Feminist Collective. Recently, she's served as the Women’s Rights Manager at Breakthrough and as Director of Advocacy at MergerWatch, where she worked on the Raising Women’s Voices project. Eesha has also worked as Associate Director of Programs at the Civil Liberties and Public Policy Program (CLPP) and has been a weekly staff writer for RH Reality Check. She has also worked with the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at Harvard University and Amnesty International USA’s Women’s Rights Program. She currently serves on the board of the New York Abortion Access Fund and the National Network of Abortion Funds. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and the University of Chicago.

Even in New York and the 16 other states that provide Medicaid coverage for abortion, thousands of low-income women fall between the cracks. Many women may be too poor to pay for abortion procedures, but they are uninsured or not poor enough to obtain public health insurance coverage like Medicaid.
