Casey Murschel is the Executive Director of NARAL Pro-Choice South Dakota and a former state legislator.

A native of Sioux Falls, Casey Murschel earned her undergraduate degree at the University of South Dakota in Sociology with emphasis in Law Enforcement and Corrections. She has a masters degree is in Guidance and Counseling from South Dakota State University.

Ms. Murschel served two terms on the Sioux Falls City Council and three terms in the South Dakota State Legislature. She was a member of the SD House Judiciary Committee and vice-chair of the Local Government Committee. She was appointed to serve on the SD Visitation Task Force, the Interagency Coordinating Council and the SD Corrections Commission.

Ms. Murschel also served as chair of the SD Court Appointed Special Advocates Board of Directors, on the Juvenile Justice Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Task Force and the Sioux Falls Business Education And Civic Leadership Group on Child Care and Early Education.
