Anat Shenker-Osorio is an Oakland-based communications consultant. Anat has worked on communication strategy for organizations focusing on maternal health and natural childbirth. Previously, she co-founded the research and consulting firm, Real Reason, offering communication solutions to the ACLU, Reproductive Health Technologies Project, Berkeley Media Studies Group and the Center for Reproductive Rights, among others. Anat has a Master's in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.A. from Columbia University.

What does it mean when a group is systematically denied the right to marry? Or when another group is denied the right to determine what happens to their bodies? At some level, even if only unconsciously, it means we think they aren’t adults.
