Amanda Marcotte writes for and manages the blog Pandagon, and is currently writing a book about feminism due out in Spring ’08. She received her 15 minutes of fame after being hired in 2007 by the John Edwards campaign as the blogmaster and then resigning shortly thereafter in a frenzy of right wing controversy-generating. She's the author of the book It's a Jungle Out There: The Feminist Survival Guide to Politically Inhospitable Environments. She holds a B.A. in English literature from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX.
