About Me

Amanda L. Allen, J.D., is the first Fellow at Law Students for Reproductive Justice (LSRJ). At LSRJ, Amanda is developing educational materials, advocating for new law courses in reproductive rights, and providing support for student research and scholarship in reproductive justice. Amanda graduated from City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law in 2008. While in law school, Amanda interned at Day One, the Sex Workers Project at the Urban Justice Center, the International Women's Human Rights Clinic at CUNY, and the Center for Reproductive Rights. She was an Editor of the New York City Law Review and author of A Plan C for Plan B: A Feminist Legal Response to the Ways in Which "Behind-the-Counter" Emergency Contraception Fails Women, 12 N.Y. City L. Rev. __ (forthcoming 2009). Amanda graduated with high distinction from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 2004 and a minor in piano performance.
