Laura McTighe began work on HIV and prison issues thirteen years ago in the Philadelphia restorative justice and AIDS activist movements.  In 2009, she launched the Institute for Community Justice, a Philadelphia-based national initiative committed to community justice: the community-inspired, community-led solutions for healing in a time of mass imprisonment.  Laura earned her Masters of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, where she studied as a Presidential Scholar, and is completing a manuscript exploring HIV/AIDS, gender justice and economic justice through the stories of Muslim women living with HIV in the United States and South Africa.
