Daniel Pellegrom
Daniel E. Pellegrom, has led Pathfinder International for twenty-four years. As president, Dan provides a rare combination of experience in both activism and management. Over three decades, he has served as CEO of three separate organizations. He has managed advocacy and capital campaigns and led organizations during times of political opposition—and even terrorist attack. (The Planned Parenthood clinic in Annapolis, Maryland, for which he provided design, construction and funding oversight, was bombed by arsonists in 1984.) His uncommon experience includes leadership of both domestic and international organizations across great cultural and geographic diversity. On three separate occasions, he has led organizations into litigation against the US Government.
During his time as president of Pathfinder International, the organization has held its ground on the most controversial issues and the budget has grown from $18 million to its current $100 million annually. Named recipient of the United Nations Population Award in 1996, Pathfinder became only the second US-based organization to win this recognition.
Dan has served on various boards of directors, including World Neighbors, and is the immediate post board chair of both the Brush Foundation and InterAction, which is the largest coalition of US-based humanitarian organizations working abroad.
He has written op-ed pieces for The Boston Globe, The Baltimore Sun, and The New York Times as well as provided testimony at Congressional hearings and other public forums.

So what does the murder of a doctor in Kansas have to do with the deaths of women in Kenya? Everything. The reproductive rights and health of women everywhere must be safeguarded.
