Joan Malin has been the President
and CEO of Planned Parenthood of New York City (PPNYC) since 2000.  

Prior to her appointment as
President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of New York City, Ms. Malin
served for four years as chief executive of the Bowery Residents' Committee
(BRC), a multi-service agency with an annual client base of over 4,000. 
A veteran of three New York City mayoral administrations, she has overseen
the delivery of home care and protective services for adults, managed
the City's senior citizens centers, and worked extensively to address
the needs of the City's homeless population.  She last served the City
as Commissioner of Homeless Services.  

A Fulbright scholar, Ms. Malin
holds a BA in Urban Studies from Case Western Reserve and a Masters
in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.  She has served
on the boards of the Youth Services Opportunities Project and the Mary
McDowell Center for Learning.  Ms. Malin is also a past Adjunct Assistant
Professor, Public Policy at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of
Public Service at New York University.
