Paris Hatcher is a passionate, radical feminist activist dedicated to working for justice and liberation. As a life long Southerner, Paris has been organizing for over 10 years, on the community, campus, and international level. Her activism is rooted in an intersectional approach which validates the lived experience of individuals and communities and works to challenge all systemic oppression. Paris' activist interest focuses on gender liberation, in particular movements, such as reproductive justice, gender and racial justice and equity, ending sexual violence, lgbtq communities of color, the South, and research that explores historical legacy as a motivator for current social movements. She has her Master's in Africana Women's Studies and is currently the Co-Executive Director of SPARK Reproductive Justice Now (formerly Georgians for Choice). When not grinding hard for justice, she loves to dance, read, laugh, give, cook, honor warrior women, the outdoors, home renovation, doggies, and to spend time with her family and community.

 

Heidi Williamson is the Advocacy and Membership Coordinator for SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Health Collective. She is responsible for issue advocacy and education in Atlanta, Georgia on issues around reproductive health. Heidi's position at SisterSong allows her blend two lifelong passions: social activism and empowering women of color through education and advocacy.

Prior to her position with SisterSong, she was a political organizer in the labor movement organizing public sector workers with Services Employee International Union (SEIU). During her tenure there, she developed a statewide member political program, created a local Political Action Fund, and, lobbied on behalf of the 80,000 state employees throughout Georgia.

Since 1999 she has worked with several organizations that prioritize and empower women throughout Georgia. While President of NARAL GA Education Foundation, she developed programming for women of color and teens. She also worked for 9 to 5, the National Association of Working Women, where she helped coordinate the Atlanta Living Wage Campaign.

Heidi is a graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and African American Studies.

This week, Operation Save America, a violent anti-choice and racist organization, will visit the city of Atlanta with their message of hate. SPARK and SisterSong call on women of color and our allies to stand for justice and say no.
