Community Health Center Tries to Reach Young, Gay Latinos with HIV Message
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is funding a new way to reach young, gay Latinos who are at risk of contracting HIV. Since 2006 they have given money to a community health center in Washington, D.C., to set up Mpoderate, a name that roughly translates into empower yourself.

It’s rare that my MSM patients know which STDs they ought to be screened for, and how often. Men who have sex with men don’t get screened often enough for diseases like syphilis, gonorrhea, and HIV.
