National Black Religious Summit on Sexuality

The Black Church is undergoing a radical change. In place of the silence, our youth and adults are now affirming God's gift of sexuality and seeking the wisdom to live responsibly as spiritual and sexual beings.

Ministers can be a sources of help for congregants on matters related to human sexuality, but there are few seminaries or bible colleges that offer comprehensive sexuality education as part of their preparation for parish ministry.

We consider that a miscarriage has no moral content because we attribute it to God. But if women are partners with God then do they not also have moral authority to interrupt the process of human gestation?
