Pro-Life Action League
Key Leaders
The Pro-Life Action League was founded by Joseph M. Scheidler in 1980; he is currently the National Director. Joe's wife, Ann, is the Executive Director. Eric Scheidler, their son, is the League's Communications Director.Organizational Background and Activities
This organization coordinates a variety of activity around the Chicago area. They encourage "sidewalk counseling" (a nice way to say patient harassment), public protests (with graphic photos of fetuses), youth outreach through Generations for Life, and "confronting abortionists" (more harassment).
PLAL also sponsored the Contraception Is Not the Answer conference in September 2006. After Tyler reported on the conference, they called her a pro-abortion spy and claimed that "the pro-abort crowd is scared."

As the hours tick by, House Speaker Pelosi is determined to pass health reform - without added abortion restrictions but with the possibility of an executive order from President Obama restating restrictions on federal funding of abortion. Will Stupak and his anti-choice holdouts accept?
In response to severe criticism of its rejection of family planning as part of global maternal health programs, Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harper now says that the "door is not closed" on providing contraception.
While Congress counts votes for healthcare reform, New Jersey debates eliminating family planning funding, and South Carolina's budget is tough for those with HIV/AIDS.

Hi,
I find it hard to understand how these organizations are so one sided in their pro-life stance.
Everybody should be pro-life, who would not?. But who's life should you save? The life of the fetus or the life of the mother?
That looks like a choice to me, I think that deep down everyone is pro-choice regardless of what they say. When the situation comes where the life of the mother or the fetus is at stakes, there is always a choice to make. A very difficult choice, but it's still a choice.
Not long ago I came a cross a pro-life documentary that included some extremely disturbing images of tiny body parts and such. I hope that such materials are not in regular use by pro-life organizations because it simply will drive people away.
I really am torn on this issue because I am for less government in situations like economic law, but I just cant separate the fact that we are talking about a human life here and that is far too precious to just throw away. Too many people will never be blessed enough to have a child and the fact that some would just get rid of it for an inconvenience is disturbing.
There are lots of people out there who can and are against pro lifers. I think the challenge is that the people that are against pro life are those that are for control and women's rights. I think that the challenge is that people want to look at this as a black and white issue, when it is a millions shades of grey. What if the woman was raped? What if the child will suffer more from being born? These are really tough questions...
A life is a life, at least to me. I too think it is sad how there are loving couples ready to have a child yet cant seem to have one and then there are so many people just willing to throw that life away...
Well to every one that is here I did not vote for Obama who is not the best person to support pro-life. So it sucks one of the first things that he did was spend a bunch of our money to promote abortion.
Yes, it apparently is such that Obama is supporting abortion. Im not clear entirely what it was that he supported, but I understand that he passed legistation funding abortion in foreign countries.
I think everyone in entitled to their opinion on this subject. I personally am pro choice, but respect others opinions on this matter.
One of the things that is going to be interesting is to see what happens as the economy gets worse. It is tough, but people are going to start havning to decide if they can afford to have child.
I know, what you are talking about. If people cant afford a child, other than adoption, they may be considering an abortion. Scary times.
It's a sad commentary on our world that we are willing to kill our young because we find them inconvenient.
I appreciate that you guys are conducting this. It’s always great to see a cumulative spread of information in this field. The information is very valuable!
So it sucks one of the first things that he did was spend a bunch of our money to promote abortion.
Not everyone agrees with abortion, but it should still remain a choice. If you take away that choice, what are you left with as an option other than adoption of unwanted children which can lead to a life no one would want to force on any child, with the chances of living in an orphanage for the rest of their childhood.
Very Nice topic with &Lots of Suggestions. Keep it up!
At this time we have to look abt new teenage parents of UK.Father is just 13 and mother 15.Thats what the talk came children with children

I'm pro life due to my religious believes. However, I do feel that Church and state should be separate. I believe its the parents duty to teach their kids and install them with moral values that enable them to make the correct decisions.
This is one of that points where regardless what you say, there will be an army of people against you. Difficult question, that's why blogs like this, where you deal with pro-life topics are so vital.
Our family is six strong no we are not like the ones on TV but what God gives is what God will give us. I do believe in pro life for the sense of our family. We made our decisions when we were having our kids to not even take some of the blood tests to see if our kids would have problems after birth. I think that is bull and we declined the tests since it was a waste of money, we figured we would find out later when our children were born. We did not even find out if it was a boy or girl. Like I said what God gives us is what God gives us and we were blessed.
I believe in pro life but what about rape victims. They to have the right to not want to carry a baby produced by a violent crime. I think somthing like that should be looked at in a different manner and give the rape victim a choice. I personally would support my wife or daughters if that would happen to them.
If you will ask me i am not agree with abortions but the government has a power.
I consider myself as pro life too its because I'm a religious person. I believe that God had given us the life and nobody can take it away except him.
very sad.
I hope your projects give the benefits to Chicago people and make sure you continue other projects to people of Chicago and good luck.
Even without my religion, I am Pro Life.
I think they choice lies with the woman. Who has the right to tell her what she can and cannot do with her body?
i dont think many people arent pro life. For that matter i dont think any living creture wouldnt be pro life. Anyone who isint pro life has done something about it
Heyyaa.... jus saw a very same blog somewhere else too !!! guess somebody's been copyin ur stuff...
Congrats to Pro-Life Action League!
Their work is just great!
Thanks
In general, I use their services of more year and all works stably and with decent quality, in this respect everything is all right though new firms which for promotion are periodically shown offer cheaper prices, but as a rule these actions quickly come to an end also a freebie disappears so to have the account on sipnet.ru all it is exactly useful and it is convenient as it is large office with wide experience...
