How do I bold, italicize, underline or strike-through text?

You can use the buttons () on the toolbar to bold, italicize, underline and strike text. Simply highlight the text you want to alter and click the appropriate button.If you do not see these buttons on the Teaser and Body textareas of the 'Submit Reader Diary' page, click the 'enable rich-text' link below the Teaser and Body textareas.

How do I change text alignment?

You can use the text alignment buttons () on the toolbar to change the alignment of your text. Simply highlight the text you want to alter and click the appropriate button. How do I make bulleted and numbered lists?

You can use the bulleted list buttons () on the toolbar to create bulleted or numbered lists in your diary post. Place your cursor where you would like the list to beign and click the appropriate button to begin your list. When you are finished with your list, press Enter on a blank line to end the list. If you do not see these buttons on the Teaser and Body textareas of the 'Submit Reader Diary' page, click the 'enable rich-text' link below the Teaser and Body textareas.

How do I make indented blockquotes?

You can use the indent and outdent buttons () on the toolbar to create and remove indented blockquotes for quoting material in your diary post. Place your cursor where you would like to start quoting and click the indent button. An indented block with a shaded background will appear. To remove the indentation place the cursor in the blockquote area and click the outdent button. If you do not see these buttons on the Teaser and Body textareas of the 'Submit Reader Diary' page, click the 'enable rich-text' link below the Teaser and Body textareas.

How do I make a link?

You can use the link and unlink buttons () on the toolbar to create and remove hyperlinks in your post. First, copy the URL or link you want to place on your text to your clipboard by highlighting it and pressing control-c or command-c. Now, back to your diary post, highlight the text you want to turn into a link. Now click the 'Insert/edit link' button. In the popup window paste the URL or link into the 'Link URL' field. You may optionally add a title for the link and change the target window in which the link opens. Click insert and you will see you link appear. To remove a link, simply highlight the link you want to remove and click the 'Unlink' button. If you do not see these buttons on the Teaser and Body textareas of the 'Submit Reader Diary' page, click the 'enable rich-text' link below the Teaser and Body textareas.

How do I add an image to my diary post?

You can add an image to your post by clicking on the ‘Insert/edit image’ button (). The image must already be on the web somewhere. If you want to add an image from your computer that is not yet on the web you can upload it to an image sharing site first, like flickr.com. The only required field is the Image URL, which is the link to the image where it resides on the web (i.e http://farm1.static.flickr.com/113/276558233_96f8bd5617_o.jpg). You may optionally add a description of the image, set the image alignment, alter the image dimensions, add a border and margins.

How do I add video to my diary post?

You can embed videos in your post from YouTube, Google Video, Vimeo and Revver. For instance to embed a YouTube video you would simply paste the video's URL, or link, (i.e. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FECeRd2kYFM) in the place you want the video to appear in your diary entry.

How do I unpublish my diary post?

If for any reason, you wish to unpublish a diary post, you may do so. For your convenience there are two ways to unpublish your diary post:

  1. When viewing your post you can click the 'Unpublish' tab that appears at the top of the post to unpublish it, or
  2. You can click the 'Edit' tab and uncheck the 'Published' option at the bottom of the edit page and click 'Submit'.

You must be logged in to unpublish your post. When you are ready to publish your post again, simply click the 'Publish' tab that appears at the top of the post, or check the 'Published' option on the edit page.

How do I edit my RH Reality Check profile?

You can edit your RH Reality Check profile at anytime by clicking on the 'My Account' link at the top of any page, and then clicking on the 'Edit' tab.

How do I change my headshot?

You can change your RH Reality Check headshot at anytime by clicking on the 'My Account' link at the top of any page, and then clicking on the 'Edit' tab. Scroll down to the 'Picture' section, click the 'Browse' button and locate your headshot on your computer. Click 'Submit' at the bottom of the page to save the change. For best results use a image that has been resized to 80x80 pixels.
