Monica Rodriguez

Sexuality Information & Education Council of the US (SIECUS)

Monica Rodriguez is the president and CEO of the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS). In this role, she works closely with SIECUS’s funders and Board and manages the vision and programmatic direction of the organization. Over the course of more than sixteen years at SIECUS, where she most recently served as vice president for education and training, Ms. Rodriguez has provided speeches, workshops, training, resource development, and technical assistance related to HIV prevention and sexuality education to education and health professionals, decision-makers, and parents both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining SIECUS, Ms. Rodriguez was a sexuality educator at the Center for Family Life Education, Planned Parenthood of Greater Northern New Jersey. She received a Masters of Science degree in non-profit management from New School University in New York City and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Penn State University.

Abstinence-only-until marriage programs leave young people unprepared. They are unethical.
