terrorism

An HIV-positive Macomb County man is facing charges created under Michigan’s 2004 terrorism laws for biting another man in a neighborhood scuffle. That, HIV advocates, state lawmakers and legal experts say is “cowardly” and “nonsense” and increases ignorance and stigma surrounding the virus.
. . . . .
"Law and Order" anti-choice nonsense, with clips! Also, the laws and ethics regarding fertility treatments, and questions about whether or not to vaccinate boys for HPV.

Why is the man who murdered Dr. Tiller being allowed to give interviews from jail?
. . . . .
The man who shot a security guard at the U.S. Holocaust Museum in D.C. was labeled by the FBI as a domestic terrorist, yet Scott Roeder, who assassinated Dr. George Tiller and who has been associated with a range of anti-choice groups that engage in violent rhetoric and clinic blockades has not. Should he be charged as a domestic terrorist? Many in the pro-choice community think the ultimate costs of doing so may outweigh the benefits.
. . . . .
Violence is inherent to the pro-life movement in the way that it was inherent to the preservation of segregation in the South.
. . . . .
In response to terrorist attacks in Mumbai, more power will be vested in state machinery to be better prepared for a similar crisis in the future. That very same power can be used to exploit women.

Tiffany Campbell of South Dakota talks about her activism against the abortion ban, and how legal abortion allowed her to have her baby. Also: debate analysis, and the question of Sarah Palin and feminism.
. . . . .
Joe Scarborough has a good point about being able to criticize Obama without charges of racism. He also has the opportunity to prove his point right now.
. . . . .
Yet another supporter of anti-choice terrorism has been linked to the campaign of Sen. John McCain. America is learning what women at health clinics around the country have known for a while, anti-choice protesters are not peaceful.

If a bomb is placed in the parking lot of a building - and it's the parking lot of an abortion clinic - can anyone hear about it? That depends.
