If you are following the floor debate on C-Span over the Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act (PPACA) in the House of Representatives, you know that members of the new Republican majority really want to get rid of the health reform bill signed into law last year.  You also know the are really against government-sponsored health care.  Unless it covers them.

Threats posed by an unfettered political climate of hate and violent rhetoric is not, as Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sarah Palin have claimed, the figment of the "left's" imagination.  Indeed, three Arizona Republicans have now resigned office in light of threats to them from within their own party and the Tea Party and out of fear of their own and their families' safety.

The share of people who are "liberal" but also anti-choice grows tinier by the day. Investments by the Democratic Party to recruit that vanishing population would be far better spent elsewhere.
