Last Thursday's Senate vote to reject a measure which would have defunded Planned Parenthood was a huge victory. But unfortunately, the anti-choicers will not relent. They are planning to protest at our Planned Parenthood clinic in St. Paul this Friday (Good Friday).

Starting Saturday July 17, Operation Save America (creators of the "INTOLERANT" t-shirt) a rabidly fundamentalist sect of anti-abortion fanatics, is calling on anti-abortion forces to "storm the gates of hell" in Charlotte, NC. Operation Save America has a long and vicious history of opposing women's right to choose, fighting against gay rights, and spreading vicious anti-Muslim hatred. They must be opposed.

I've seen all types of clinic protestors: the prayers, sign holders, and screamers. Whether or not they ‘have the best intentions’ is beside the point. The reality is they don't think highly enough of any woman to trust her judgment.
Protest "abortionchangesyou.com" in NYC this coming Saturday
Abortionchangesyou.com promotes an aura of shame and guilt around abortion and contributes to the lie that to have an abortion is to murder a baby. This comes in the guise of concern for women and providing emotional support for them. The anti-abortion agenda of these ads has been exposed in a New York Times article, which points out that the site directs people to pro-life groups with the Catholic Church and the site’s founder has collaborated with Feminists for Life.
