House Members are using a backdoor route to get their way on “forcible” rape using patently false claims about the law.  It’s not the “longstanding policy” of the government to exclude victims of statutory rape.  It’s “longstanding policy” to include them.

Those wild and crazy Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee can't make up their minds about big government! They like big government subsidies if they are from farm states with lots of farmers (alive, dead, whose counting?), but they don't like big government subsidies for poor women seeking, say, contraceptive supplies, breast and cervical cancer treatment, or testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (bad, bad, bad!).

Another Family Research Council Ad Misleads on Federal Funding for Abortion in Health Reform; FactCheck.Org Calls Them Out

The Family Research Council, following on a TV ad last week roundly criticized by groups such as Catholics United for its misleading and inaccurate claims, has launched a second and equally misleading advertisement claiming that federal funding for abortion care under health reform will rob senior citizens of coverage for necessary surgeries. FactCheck.Org calls them out.
