Not only does Texas have one of  the highest percentages of teens getting pregnant, it has the highest percentage of teens getting pregnant a second time.

Okay, so the data does not support the conclusion that "abstinence works". So what? Since when has that deterred Perry from making evidence-devoid proclamations in the past.

Data is for those science-minded guys. Rick knows what he knows, and that's all that he wants to know.

There's no point in expecting sense to come from someone who believes and expects others to believe that Texas public schools teach creationism, the earth is less than 10,000 years old, and praying for a drought to end will bring rain.

Weird, isn't it, that the more public proclamations and public prayer there is, the deeper and more long lasting the drought is predicted to be.  Seems to me that if the evidence indicates that something is not just not working but may actually be making things worse, the thing to do is to stop.

Mr. Perry is not the least bit concerned about reality. He has a religious/morale point of view which is impervious to reason. He has the same problem with teaching Evolution.

He has a moral agenda which he believes should apply to all.

Funny how he hates government regulation of big business, but feels fine about the intrustion of Government into a woman's uterus.

He hates abortion, but hates protecting women from getting pregnant with real birth control, i.e. teaching contraception.
