I just threw up in my mouth.
There are repugnant people in this world, but this loathesome weasel is beyond misogynist. How long before men get it through their collective head that women are NOT responsible for the behavior of men?

It's all about teh menz? What? We should be forced to have babies so men are forced to be responsible for them? Then why don't they work on legislation that forces men to be more responsible?

Another interesting tib-bit about him posted at the MN Independent, "GOP’s Gruenhagen calls for destruction of ‘filthy’ Kinsey research." Apparently he has some pretty serious hang-ups about sex. At a Public Safety and Crime committee he condemned sexologist Alfred Kinsey as a “filthy, perverted unscientific liar” whose research needs to be “destroyed.”
Once again he goes off on the "male sex drive." You can listen to the clip at MN Independent. It is way too funny how he says "filth." OMG what an idiot.
Honestly, I have issue with the term "ladies" as well. Generally when I hear this term any more, it's coming from some jerk who thinks he's god's gift to women, trying to impress the most scantily clad female in the room with how "respectful" he's being by informing her that she's such a "fine ass lady". The only time I see this term used appropriately is when people address a group as "ladies and gentlemen".
I only use it when referring to an elderly woman, and only about her, "the lady with the lovely red hat"; partly out of respect for her and partly because many of them were brought up to be very traditionally lady-like.
I, am not a lady. I am a tomboy-ish, queer woman! hehehe
This man, however, is barely male, and all reptilian-- well shoot, I just insulted snakes and I sorta like them.
Where do they find these cretins!?! Is there a cretin bush, or tree to pluck them off of? Can we get some herbicide?

It is enlightening (in a strange way) what you can learn about people's secret fetishes and proclivities by listening to them talk passionately about what disgusts them.
And now that the Russian Orthodox Church in has negotiated the return of their nationalized real estate and other property, and retrieved their valuable artworks from the museums, what are they focusing on? Getting teh wimminz back under control:
Women, said Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, can't be trusted to clothe themselves properly.
"It is wrong to think that women should decide themselves what they can wear in public places or at work," he said Tuesday. "If a woman dresses like a prostitute, her colleagues must have the right to tell her that."

Sounds like he's channeling Pat Robertson.
Men will continue to slut-shame and Johns will continue to pay to rape regardless of how any woman dresses. This is a male convenience that goes unacknowledged, though I have a hunch that Chaplin knows this and has no problem with being a hypocrite. There must always be a depised lowest-of-the-low class of women that can be used as a hobbyhorse to shame the rest.
Also, I did not know rodents could get divorced. The moar you know.
If abortion exists because men are perverts, then wouldn't the solution be to make it illegal to be a pervert? Or a man?
and of course not ONCE does it even occur to this guy that women have any moral agency, that they're capable of making rational choices, and that mayyyybe women don't have abortions simply because the men in their lives coerce them. Of course women never have abortions because they want to, for their own reasons.
Yup I sure do love it when men talk to me like I'm a child and then tell me what's best for me.
I have to say it's an interesting spin though. We're pretty used to hearing anti-choicers rant about how women need to "deal with the concequences" and stop being "irresponsible" by having abortions. At least he's acknowledging men have a role to play too. Although it's horribly misguided.
