Senate Finance Committee Passes Health Reform Bill...Now on to Next Steps

The Senate Finance Committee has passed its version of a health care reform bill, 14 to 9. One Republican, Senator Olympia Snowe (R-Maine), voted in favor of the bill.

Now the bill advances to the Senate floor for debate, possible amendment, and potentially passage in the coming weeks.  Analysts believe there will be several more weeks of debate and discussion in the Senate and House and in reconciling two versions of the legislation for final passage.
