Yesterday we learned about a
linkage between militant anti-choice terrorist Paul Schenck and Sen. John McCain, and tonight Keith Olberman reported about yet another linkage to some of the most extreme anti-choice activists. It seems obvious that the McCain campaign is comfortable with the extreme tactics of the most violent parts of the "pro-life" movement, even while some genuinely pro-life people, including leading
conservative and Republican Catholic scholars, are suggesting it is time for a change in strategies. Many of us on the progressive side of the issue would say its well past time for a change in their strategies, away from the violence and other tactics that only serve to undermine our democracy and do nothing to educate people or work to prevent unintended pregnancies.
