Where are the researchers and research-lieterate folks to educate the news audiences about the truth behind the palin family "crisis" ? Bristol's pregnancy is being treated as an accident over which she and her boyfriend had no control or responsibility. As a health educator who was active in providing abstinence-included NOT -only education programs to teens, I am appalled at how this discussion is being framed. Teens, especially upper-middle class teens, have a choice and that choice is abstinence or contraception. babies don't "just happen."
