For only the second time in Planned Parenthood Action Fund’s history, the organizaton has made a presidential endorsement.

Planned Parenthood Action Fund announced their official endorsement of Barack Obama yesterday, while the “kerfuffle” over Barack Obama’s recent statements about abortion bans and mental health exceptions were still fresh.  

Obama spoke to hundreds of action fund members on a call today after the announcement that the national board of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, ratified by the state affiliate organizations, unanimously voted to endorse him. 

Obama has a 100% rating from Planned Parenthood while John McCain rates at a dismal 0% for his voting record on reproductive and sexual health issues.
